Who is it adressed to

The training program is addressed to practitioners (social workers, psycho-pedagogues, medical assistants, psychologists, vocational counselors etc) from the public and private sector, who work directly with people in situations of social vulnerability.

Structure

Depending on the needs and interests of the participants, the structure can be adapted. So far, formats have been developed for practitioners working with beneficiaries with mental health disorders or young people who are about to leave the care system.

Certification

The program allows social workers to accumulate a maximum number of 15 professional credits (program authorized by the National College of Social Workers in Romania). Participation in the 20-day training program allows access to the final exam and the possibility to obtain a diploma issued by the University of Applied Sciences in Vorarlberg, Austria.

  • What kind of diploma do I get at the end of the course?

    The Practitioners in Social Services course is designed to meet the needs of different professionals working in this field and does not offer specialization at an occupational level. It can be offered in different combinations of modules according to specific needs. Social workers who successfully complete this training program can benefit from 15 credits awarded by the National College of Social Workers in Romania. Given that the completed program lasts at least 20 days, participants can benefit from a diploma issued by CONCORDIA Academia together with the "Schlosshofen" Training Institute in Austria. Please check the exam admission criteria upon registration.

  • Who is eligible to participate in the training programs?

    Eligibility criteria differ from program to program depending on the accreditation the training program has (eg: ANC accredited). Certification criteria are also added to the course participation criteria. We invite you to check the eligibility criteria for each individual course.

  • Can I pay in installments?

  • To what extent does COVID-19 influence the training programs in CONCORDIA Academia?

    Due to the measures against COVID-19, last-minute changes in the program are possible (for example: conversion of physical courses to a digital alternative). Participants in those courses will be informed in due course of any changes and specific safety measures. We intend to conduct the courses in the safest possible conditions. However, participation is at your own risk. In the name of social responsibility, if you have had contact with people with a confirmed or suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection, please refrain from participating and, accordingly, announce your absence. Be sure to stay home if you have flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath).

Trainers

Mariana Albert

She is a professional with over 15 years of experience in social services in Bucharest and in the country in several fields of activity. It works in collaboration with local institutions in the field of social assistance, as well as other national organizations. She is a member of the National College of Social Workers, until recently she was responsible for counseling and professional guidance activities for children and young people in CONCORDIA social projects, now she is a social worker in the Delinquent Child Protection Service within the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Sector 2, Bucharest and has been part of the Concordia Academia team of trainers for the "Social Services Practitioners" course for over 3 years.

Radu Neuman

The challenges encountered in the more than 20 years of work in the social field, the experience of 13 years as a trainer and evaluator in social professions have shown him how important it is to use all opportunities to learn. He believes that we can experience special moments, that there are meetings where we can share moods, like in the school that Constantin Noica dreamed of. He also believes there is a need for places to make these experiences possible. He believes that such a space is CONCORDIA Academia and for him it is a great joy to be part of this project.

Andreea Hiriza

Integrative psychotherapist and accredited psychologist in occupational and organizational psychology, transportation psychology and applied psychology in the national security field. She carries out her professional activity in the private sector, within the Individual Practice of Psychology and she is a Coordinator of psychological services within the Humanitarian Organization CONCORDIA.

Corina Mighiu

She is a family therapist, trainer and vice-president of the Association for Family and Couple Psychotherapy, Iași. She is also a coordinator for the Counselling Center for Parents and Children of the organization Save the Children Iași and has a vast experience in training for various target groups in the mental health and children protection fields. As a trainer, flexibility in implementing training design, as well as the students’ needs are especially important to her.

Andreea Roman

She started working as a volunteer in the social field even before starting her studies at the Faculty of Social Care and theology. In the latest 14 years she has been working with the children and youth in the streets, as a teacher and social worker within various CONCORDIA projects, such as shelters for the homeless and social apartments, and also a project for people with mental disabilities. She successfully graduated the training program “Practitioners in the Social Field” of CONCORDIA Academia, and has ever since been working on the trainer team. Currently, she is a Program Coordinator for Bucharest within CONCORDIA.

Liliana Tibrea

She is a social worker with over 20 years of experience in social services in Romania. She worked with different groups of beneficiaries and their families in various NGOs. She coordinated activities for inter-disciplinary teams and took part in the development processes of the partnerships with governmental representatives. She also works in the child protection sector and as a CONCORDIA trainer for the program “Practitioners in the Social Field”.

Mariana Armean

25 years of experience in mental health, a clinician psychologist and psychotherapist with the right of free practice issued by the College of Psychologists in Romania, trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy, certified in Schema Therapy by the International Society of Schema Therapy, she is an International Trainer with over 200 participants from Austria, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania. She is authorized as a Trainer in Romania for more than 10 years and Trainer in the social and community psychiatry field by the University of Applied Sciences, Dornbirn, Austria, for over 3 years.
